About Adam:

I'm from Clonmel, a town in County Tipperary, Ireland. I only really decided to study architecture because I didn't know what I wanted to study. Someone mentioned architecture to me, and it seemed vaguely interesting, so I chose to study it. I didn't really understand what it was I was getting into though, and I'm still not sure I do.

My favourite part of the submission was the living area in the original house building. The walls of the old house acted as a sort of curtain, offering glimpses out to nature. I tried to replicate this by adding solidity, allowing for glimpses outside and at the decaying material of the wall.
