Strawberry Raid V is a private event hosted by the Society for Creative Anachronism from 27 May to 1 June 2026. Attendees must register in advance. Please do NOT order food below until you have registered and paid for the event! This page is ONLY for that event.

 

On Wednesday, dinner will be available at 6 pm. Thursday through Sunday, the Coach House will be open for meals from roughly 8 am to 7 pm.   On Monday we will serve breakfast and the cafe will be open until noon with whatever we have left!

Join us for a Rishneen (snack), Drigheen (little drink) or Enteete (nap in the middle of the day). Now you are a local and know some Yola words, the ancient language of Forth and Bargy baronies. In between meals the cafe will offer a la carte purchase of hot and cold beverages and cafe snacks (e.g., cakes, scones, etc). 

 

For meals (see below) , you need to order and pay ahead. Then we will make and purchase for quantity reserved. It is possible there may be a few extra meals available on the day but we cannot guarantee this. We can only seat 40 people in the coach house so will limit all meals to 50 people. This assumes some people can sit outside or are not there the whole time. We are cooking the same plan for our household and guests. If you want to be sure of a meal, reserve and pay in advance!   as we will be buying the food and cannot end up with a lot of waste. The meals add up to €24 per day if you want all, which includes VAT.

 

We are aligning the meal times with the schedule of the event. Breakfast is 8-10 am. Lunch 1-2 pm. Dinner 6-7 pm. Please arrive during the scheduled time if you want a hot meal! At 7 pm. the kitchen will close.

 

Cafe and meal guests are invited to eat indoors in the Coach House or outdoors in the nearby seating areas. Outside of meal times other event attendees are welcome to use the seating for general purposes with preference always to cafe customers - we will gently clear an area if needed!

 

Please bring your own feast gear if possible! There will be washing up areas in the campsite. Contact us in advance with any specific restrictions like gluten, vegetarian or vegan. Menus posted below are for general idea and not customized to any restrictions. We will only season/spice in a minimal way - food will be flavorful but not “spicy” or very salty - add your own!

 

Full Cafe days on Thursday through Sunday. Monday morning a la cart whatever is left for breakfast
