About the event

Fleadh Camping at Sigginstown Castle - Looking for well behaved music aficionados who want to sleep!

Not your average campsite!

If you, like us, are a little behind on your plans for the Fleadh Coile, we invite you to consider camping at Sigginstown Castle

If you follow us already, you know that we have developed this site from a total ruin, so are always in a state of continuous improvement- our camping amenities are evolving also. We have a lovely large flat green grass field with a view to the Great House - available for camper vans, caravans and tents.

We have a large steel barn (partially open) available for music sessions, eating and hanging out together. In the barn is electricity for charging phones or the occasional kettle. There is also a sink with water for food prep/cleanup.

We will have at least 4 portaloos onsite, and a limited water supply. We  have one propane shower with hot and cold water, and two sinks nearby for personal hygiene or dishes.

We play music ourselves and would like campers who do the same (or appreciate live music), and who also want a tranquil site so we can all sleep! Our neighbors work and farm, so quiet hours are from 11 pm - 8 am.

We are working on our final building, the Coach House, which will hopefully be ready with some cafe services (hours probably 10-5, but TBD). Meylers Millhouse bar and restaurant is open for dinner Wednesday-Sunday a 5 min drive away. The closest food store is the Centra at Killinick (10 min drive)

There is currently some very limited Local Link transport on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from Tacumshane to Wexford town. However it is likely you will have to get to Drinagh or Killinick to catch a regular bus to the center of Wexford town.

Note that the site is open for public tours from 1-5 pm daily. We will provide you with the gate code to enter when locked. No ground fires are allowed, and responsible disposal of all waste in proper receptacles. Your site fee includes a tour of the castle and tower, and assumes up to 4 people in tent or camper van. Extra person price is €15 per day/night. All people must sign a safety waiver to be onsite (including parents or official guardians signing for children).

If you want to party and play music all night in town,  we are not the site for you. If you want to enjoy Magical Tacumshane and relax outside of the Fleadh, please see our link to book.
