About the event
We are proud to be part of a special weekend celebrating the life of the most famous knight of the middle ages: William Marshall, or Guillaume le Mareschal. He was an incredible man, amazing in his skill as a warrior and in tournaments. As a stateman he served five Kings of England (and Counts of Anjou). This is a great event for our location on the Norman Way, as William Marshall was certainly the example of the Anglo-Norman heritage in South Wexford.
The Remembrance Weekend includes a boat trip on the Slaney on Friday (€35) and a visit and walking tour of New Ross on Saturday (free). On Sunday we await you at Sigginstown Castle where you will tour the tower and have a light lunch (quiche, soup, tea/coffee, sweet) .
