Sigginstown Castle has existed for 500 years, and there are a lot of great spaces and time periods to explore. We enjoy bringing history to life through participation, and are happy to schedule a group event to fit your schedule.
high tea with a little history
Enjoy a High Tea with History in the Coach House. We provide the three layers of a traditional tea with a little twist of history. How did those triangular sandwiches originate? Where did scones come from? What were the first sweet nibbles? Includes teas, coffees and time to chat. Groups of 12-50, €25 per person
17th century beverage journey
Travel back in time and learn how coffee, tea and chocolate arrived in Europe. All of these beverages had ceremonies in their native lands. Chinese teas that cost a fortune, coffees with spices, hot chocolate as it first existed. Learn how it evolved to our more modern tastes! 1.5 hours. €20 per person. Group size 12-50. Bundle it with a tour for a longer visit!
wild geese wine & cheese
Wild Geese is a term for the Irish who had to leave after 17-18th century battles and persecution, and many went to France or Spain and into the wine trade. We host a private reception in the 16th century tower with wine & cheese, plus a little history of these with a beautiful presentation lit by candlelight. Groups of 12-20. €30 per person.
music session
Groups of 12-20 can spend some time in the candlelit 16th century tower or larger group of 20-50 people in the Coach House. Join us as we sing and play Irish & folk music, teach some sea shanties. Let's make a joyful noise together! We hope our guests will sing along - musicians are welcome. 2.5 hours €30 per person includes music, beverages and snacks. murder at the castle!
Solve a murder mystery as a character with food and beverage. Move around spaces in the Big House and Tower for three different scenes and the final reveal of Who Done It? We provide the Mystery, clues, and costume accessories - else your group can arrive dressed up and become their character with gusto! Welcome drinks, appetizers and desserts accompany the scenes. Groups of 10-18. €70 per person.
dinner at the castle
Join us at our table and share a dinner and evening with us. A very unique and private experience at the elegant table by candlelight. Groups of 8-18 can be accommodated, with a selection of dinner options. This isn’t a restaurant, this is a home-cooked meal shared with special guests for an unforgettable evening. Appetizers, Main Course, Dessert and Beverages provided. Groups of 8-18. €70 per person

What do YOU want? Something else? Looking for a different type of event for a special group? Or just to rent one of our castle areas? We have three unique rooms in the tower, and a large Coach House to make your event like no other. Let us work with you to design something fun, educational, historical or to bring people together for memorable experience. Liz has 25 years of creating events for team building, leadership development and training. She loves to design unique group events and parties.
